Artist Statement

My work encompasses many different design elements resulting in objects that are heavily influenced by collage. Whether it combining photographs with metal, fabric with anodized aluminum or copper piping with canvas, the works creates layers of image and meaning. By creating a collage of images and styles I am attempting to entice viewers to look deeper into my work, to search out the story that may lie beneath the external layers and perhaps see a small part of their own personalities in the works I create.

By challenging viewers to delve deep into my work ; to question their own personalities, I am hoping that I too will be able to better understand my actions and presence in this world. Ultimately my work is about self-discovery, both for me and for my audience.
